Destrechas y laberínticas calles del Barrio
Nazarí, que conservan su antiguo empedrado, flanqueadas
por casas encaladas con coloridos parterres. Este sabor árabe
que impregna toda la localidad, contrasta con la nobleza y de
las casas señoriales dieciochescas. Aunque de fundación ára-
be, son numerosos los restos prehistóricos como los de la
Sima de la Veredilla y las Cuevas de la Manga. Visitando,
además, el Museo Histórico de la Sierra de Cádiz, el visitante
podrá sumergirse plenamente en el devenir histórico de esta
villa serrana.
Otros monumentos relevantes son el Castillo de

Aznalmara (ss. XIII-XIV), la Iglesia Parroquial de San Pedro
Apóstol, las ermitas del Calvario y San Blas, el Abrevadero,
la Fuente Pública y el Ayuntamiento.

discover the town is by strolling through

Quarter, which still conserve the original paving and are
flanked by whitewashed houses with colourful flowerbeds.
This Moorish flavour which impregnates the entire town
contrasts with the nobility and ornamentation of the eighte-
enth-century manor houses. Although it was founded by the
Moors, numerous prehistoric remains have been unearthed
in the area, such as those at La Veredilla Chasm and the La
Manga Caves. Visitors to the Historical Museum of the
Sierra de Cadiz can immerse themselves completely in the
history of this mountain town.
Other relevant monuments are the Aznalmara Castle
(13th-14th Centuries), the San Pedro Apóstol Parish
Church, the Hermitages of El Calvario and San Blas, the
Town Well, the Public Fountain and the Town Hall.

Dein Spaziergang durch die engen, laby-
rinthischen Gassen des Nasriden-Viertels mit ihrer alten
Pflasterung, entlang der weißgetünchten, blumenges-
chmückten Häusern. Das arabische Flair prägt das ganze
Dorf und steht im Gegensatz zur edlen Verzierung der
Herrenhäusern aus dem 18. Jh. Obwohl er arabischen
Ursprungs ist, wurden in den Fundorten Sima de la
Veredilla und Cuevas de la Manga zahlreiche prähistorische
Reste gefunden. Bei einer Besichtigung des historischen
Museums der Sierra de Cádiz kann sich der Besucher voll-
kommen der Geschichte dieses Bergdorfs hingeben.
Weitere bedeutende Bauwerke sind die Burg de
Aznalmara (13.-14. Jh.), die Pfarrkirche San Pedro Apóstol,
die Einsiedelei del Calvario und de San Blas, die Viehtränke,
der öffentliche Brunnen und das Rathaus.

Severiano Ballesteros, Nick Faldo, Tiger Woods, Colin
Montgomerie, Olazábal, Sergio García... the best players
in the world have all left unforgettable memories on the
courses of southern Andalusia . Some of them have won
the Ryder Cup at Valderrama, others the Volvo Masters at
Montecastillo. In El Novo Sancti Petri while others, such
as R. Trent Jones and Jack Nicklaus, have shown their flair
in course design.
There are a total of 22 courses, all carefully looked af-
ter and which have already made history, despite being re-
latively new. Nowadays, thousands of golfers visit the pro-
vince to play alongside the best.
For over 3,000 years, there have been good reasons for

Wherever you turn, there is a great deal to see in Cadiz:
fashion and kitesurfing in Tarifa, the charm of the historic
town centres, the Arab architecture in Medina, Vejer,
Castellar and Jimena de la Frontera, with their stories of
battlements, castles, landscapes, craftsmen and city walls.
Cadiz has to be seen to be enjoyed. As in Golf, the pro-
vince always has more: spectacular beaches, at its highest
point - the Natural Park of Grazalema - the Biosphere
Reserve � and to the south the experience of dolphin
and whale watching in the Straits of Gibraltar.
